Zebra Blen Introduction and Swatches

Below is an AI generated transcript of the video, If something seems weird, check the video itself:

Hi everyone. So today, I'm going to be talking about the new Zebra bLen. The Zebra bLen is a collaboration between Zebra and the Tokyo-based design company Nando. So the pen was designed with both aesthetically pleasing design in mind, as well as the person who has to hold their pen for long periods of time. Whether you be a designer or a writer, you need a more comfortable ergonomic pen. And so they put a lot of features into this simple pen to try to make it appeal to, you know, a lot of different artists and designers and writers. So I'm going to be going over some of the features of this pen as well as showing you what your options are. I'm just watching it. So yeah. So, so in trying to come up with a very ergonomic pen, you know, they thought a lot about the thickness of the barrel. They put a brass weight in the tip of the pen to lower the center of gravity. They made the pen so that it would be more stable in the writer's grip. And they did a lot with the inside to make sure things weren't moving around in terms of keeping the pen quieter. Which is a really interesting idea that I think a lot of, you know, pen companies haven't put much thought into that. And if you don't know what I'm talking about with the sound of a pen, then you probably don't have this auditory problem that they're trying to address. But I actually do. So sometimes when you're writing with a pen, it actually makes little, like I want to call them almost like clicky noises. And it can be super agitating for some people, including me. So I actually super appreciate this feature, even though I had a lot of people tell me like, oh, that's so weird. I've never heard of that. So let me go over the sort of like different options for you. So this is an oil-based pen, a really smooth one that is only available in black, red, and blue. It is refillable, but because it's oil-based, your ink is going to last a super a long time. We're going to last longer than gel. And it comes in a point five and a point seven. So if you like the gray body, this one only comes in black ink. However, you can of course refill it with any ink color you want, you know, of the blue, black, red options. I haven't found a way to. I know people are going to ask. They have not found a way to like hack this pen. I've tried a lot of different refills in it. So you know, if you're able to figure something out, let us know. But I have not. So yeah. So the gray body comes pre-filled with black ink, and your choice is 0.5 or 0.7. The black body, same thing. Your comes pre-filled with black ink, and you can choose point 5 or 0.7. I'll swatch these for you in a minute here. And again, just remember if you like prefer blue ink, you can totally put that in either of those bodies. And then the white body, what they did is they gave you an option of black, blue, or red ink, and either the point five or the point seven. So let's do some swatching here. So here is our point five, and right next to it, I'll do a black in the point seven. As you can see the difference. I really recommend only going with the point five, I'm oil-based if you know you like to write small or you like um, you know, have to fill in like really small spaces. So let's do the blue underneath. I really do like writing with the bLen, and I think the, you know, the ink formulation is really nice and smooth, which is nice. It's really kind of a pretty red, kind of a vermilion. So if you're really not sure, I would say that point seven is going to be more universally liked over the point five exam, unless you really know you're a tiny writer. So there is your Zebra bLen. If you have any questions about this pen, please don't hesitate to ask us. There are so many different like features they tried to incorporate into this pen to make it ergonomic that I'm sure I did not list all of them. And it gets pretty technical. And I'm not an engineer. So I feel weird talking about the actual like construction of the pen. But there are websites, there are design websites out there. If you go, go see Brooklyn, you'll find that I'm like talking even more specifically about like the engineering of the pen. So if you're into that kind of thing, I invite you to go ahead and do that. Maybe a link a couple of those below. So in any case, I hope if you are interested in this kind of pen that you get to try it. It's not meant to be a limited edition. And we got it and sold out like quicker than we expected. But it is like back in stock. And you know, we plan to keep it in stock. So yeah, I hope you get to try it if you want to. And have a wonderful week. Bye.
