Hello everyone!
Today I have a product that I am very excited to see. I have not yet looked at this product or smelled this product. As you can see, the product has been hidden from me and has a warning on it.
So, if you’ve been keeping up with what was due to come out this summer from Zebra, you’ll know that these are going to be the scented Zebra Mildliners. You’ll get my real, in-the-moment reaction to this product.
I did see the flyer a few months ago when we ordered these, but I’m just going to refresh my memory now on what’s included.
Okay—absolutely gorgeous!
We have six color-scent pairings. These are existing Mildliner colors—some from newer releases, it seems—and they come in a beautifully packaged six-color set.
Let’s go through them one by one so you can see them and I can tell you what I think of the smells.
First up is Mild Dusty Pink, which comes with a floral bouquet scent. The artwork on the barrel includes peonies and some white flowers.
Let’s smell this...
Oh, that’s nice!
Wow, I didn’t expect it to smell so much like actual perfume. It’s really well done, and even after putting it down on paper, the smell really comes through. Lighter when you're using it, but definitely noticeable.
I love this a lot. The artwork on the barrel is also so pretty.
Let’s label this one:
Mild Dusty Pink – Floral Bouquet
Absolutely lovely. Loving this one.
Next up is Mild Sherbet Yellow with a citrus fragrance.
I’m especially excited about this one. I’ve been really into lemon and citrus scents this summer—actually looking for the perfect lemon or limoncello perfume. So, if you know of any, let me know!
Oh wow—this is it.
It’s like a sweeter citrus scent, which is exactly what I like. I love this!
The barrel has lemon blossom designs, and I think I can smell both the sweet lemon and the blossoms. Absolutely love this.
Now for Mild Olive, with a fragrance labeled Green.
I’m expecting something herbaceous here. The design maybe suggests lavender or indigo, but let’s find out...
Oh wow.
Okay, this scent might not make sense to everyone, but if you’ve spent time in Japan, you’ll understand. It reminds me of Japanese-made soap and perfumes—not the ones imported from Europe, but ones actually produced in Japan.
This scent really gives me that “Japan” feeling. It’s nostalgic, and I can totally see myself using this just for that purpose. Fantastic!
Next is Mild Soda Blue with a cotton fragrance.
This is definitely going to be another very Japanese scent to me. Let’s smell...
Oh yeah—wow.
This is so similar to the Japanese savon scent that’s really common there. I can’t wait for those of you familiar with it to try this and let me know what you think.
Up next is Mild Beige, with a fragrance simply called Wood.
I’m curious—will it smell like pine or hinoki? Let’s find out...
Oh wow, it does!
It smells like cypress, like hinoki. That’s crazy accurate.
You’re basically going to feel like you’re forest bathing in Japan with this one. I wish they had named it Hinoki or Cypress instead of just “Wood,” but I’ll let it go—because this is really nice.
And finally, we have Mild Cool Gray with a scent called White Bloom.
Now, this is usually what we might call “white floral.” I’m expecting something like orange blossom, maybe neroli, magnolia, or gardenia.
Let’s see...
Oh my god—yes!
This is definitely a white floral, and very specifically reminiscent of white floral scents found in Japan. In Japan, you can often find creams or laundry products scented this way.
Wow.
I have never been this impressed with a scented pen release.
I always get excited about scented pens, but this is so well done. I can totally imagine myself using and loving every single one of these.
If you’re watching this video, that means these are now available on our site—singles and sets. These are, of course, limited edition, so if you're interested, I recommend grabbing them while you can. Even the box is beautiful.
I'm so pleased with this release.
Tell me what you think!
Bye-bye.
