Hi everyone. I hope you're all staying happy and healthy right now. This is a real difficult time for a lot of people.
Before we get into the video, I wanted to just give a friendly reminder to everyone who watches our YouTube videos and follows us on Instagram that journaling is tied to managing anxiety and reducing stress. Stress weakens your immune system, so now is a really excellent time to get out all of those favorite stationary things that you've been hoarding over the years. I know so many of you have been collecting really cool stationary stuff from our shop and other shops over the years, and I think you need to get it out and play with it right now and really help strengthen your immune system by reducing your stress.
So, now that I have said that little PSA, I would like to get into a new product video. So, this is pretty exciting for people who like the bLen that Zebra has come out with a Blen multi. Now, this is not limited edition, so it'll be available for quite a while as long as they decide to make it. And really, it's a very similar product to the Blen single in terms of thickness of the barrel and it's using the same ink. But there are, of course, some differences that you're going to experience with the multi. So, I'll talk about them in today's video.
So, just as a reminder, here's an example of the standard bLen. I want to say this was released, you know, maybe just not even a year ago. Time flies though, so I can't go ahead and remember. And then this is the Blen multi. And essentially, the grips are the same thickness, although the multi is almost like a millimeter thicker. So, you can, you can almost not even really tell at all, although you do get, I feel like it tapers a little quicker on the standard. So, just barely bigger in grip. A lot of times with our multis, we have to handle a much thicker barrel just to make room for the inks. But with this Blen, it's really almost the same. So, if you like the way the Blen feels, you'll probably still be happy with the Blen multi.
Another thing that's a little bit different is for the colorway. They gave us the blue, green, and the pink, which in the singles those were only available as limited edition colors. But it seems like they're gonna keep those as part of the multi lineup, which is really cool. So, if you liked those Blen limited edition colors and you didn't get a chance to grab them when they were released before, you can at least get them in a multi now.
So, it is the same Surari emulsion ink that's in these pens. However, the refill is a different size than the standard. So, the standard is in my left hand here, and you can see it's thicker in barrel size, and it is the NC, whereas the multi refill is the SNC. So, not the same, but the same ink inside. These are available in both 0.5 and 0.7 for you. So here is the 0.5. One thing I really like, as I get into the swatches, is the most frequently used color for most people in a multi is the black. So, they put this as the most sort of easy to access lever on your pen right here in the black. It's the easiest to feel, and it stands out. But also, it's natural to do this kind of motion more so than that. So, if you know you find that blue is your most frequently used ink, go ahead and change them out. You, you refill the pen by unscrewing in the middle here, and here you can see your refills. And of course, you know, say you're somebody who likes to have two different tip sizes of black, you can go ahead and, you know, maybe remove the red if you don't really like the red and put the other tip size, those black in there. So, multi is really do give you some customization options if you care to use them.
So, let's swatch the point five first. Now, remember, an oil-based 0.5 is going to be very fine compared to st. You're used to using a gel 0.5. The gel ink is gonna spread out more, and so a 0.5 a gel is gonna feel a lot thicker than a 0.5 oil-based pen. So, if you're somebody that likes, for example, 0.38 or a 0.4 gel pen, I think you'd be happier with the 0.5 oil-based. It's not gonna be like the thicker 0.5 gel that you're used to.
Now, for those of you who are always like, oh, I think finer pens feel scratchier, and I am, I would rather have like larger letters, then the 0.7 is gonna feel smoother for you. I hope that helps. These are all just little things I like to remind you guys from time to time because they do tend to confuse people, especially if you're new to sort of like that, the pen addict world. You don't know these things going in. So, here is your, your, this is essentially sadati Inc as I mentioned, and this is your 0.5, which is quite fine. Sorry about my handwriting. I'm just kind of like leaning over awkwardly here. I really just want to give you an idea about the thickness because most of you know what blue, black, and red ink looks like. Now, let's do the 0.7. And again, if you, you know, are somebody maybe you like your, your black to be finer and your blue to be thicker, you can always mix and match in your pen. So, these do come prefilled with either your choice of the 0.5 or the 0.7. And then you can refill to your heart's desire with these. Don't get the multi refills confused with the single refills. They are a different size. All of these barrel colors are available in both the point five and the point seven. And also, just a reminder that the Blen is, is made to be super organic and also be have a very low kind of like irritant rating. So, people who don't like the feeling of the ink cartridge like moving around or making sounds when you're writing, this pen was designed with you in mind. It's, it's designed to be a very quiet, comfortable pen and designed to help people be able to write for long periods of time. So, you know, you really have to try it out for yourself to know if it's gonna work for you. But it was certainly designed for people who would like a pen that controls the vibrations more and that reduces your physical this physical stress on your hand when you're writing. People who get really irritated by the noise that a pen makes again, this is designed with you in mind. Well, please do let us know if you have any questions about the Blen. I do have a another sample giveaway. I'll do over on Instagram. So, make sure you're following us over there. You have a lot of fun doing those giveaways over there, and I always put other things with them besides just like the feature giveaway item. Yeah, I hope everybody is having an eye stress-reducing time playing with your stationery right now, and I will talk to you all soon.
