The Metacil is a writing instrument that is entirely made of metal. The body is made of aluminum, and the core is a special alloy that contains graphite. The particles of graphite and alloy produced by friction with the paper adhere to the paper to create handwriting. Remarkably less abrasion on the core allows for long writing (16 kilometers!) without sharpening. The Metacil can be erased like a regular pencil!
This space-aged tip is somewhat fragile, so treat it carefully to avoid chipping.
