Pentel has produced many drafting pencils since releasing its first drafting pencil, the Graph Pencil, in 1965. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the release of Pentel's drafting pencils in 2025, the company has released three limited edition models of its long-selling products: the Graph 1000 For Pro, Graph Gear 500, and Graph Gear 1000. These limited edition pencils are unified in black, from the body to the grip, creating a color scheme that will not interfere with delicate work. The set of three pencils comes in packaging designed with the silhouette of each product and also includes a timeline summarizing the 60-year history of Pentel drafting mechanical pencils.
The Graph Gear 1000 has a click-top that extends and retracts the writing tip to protect the pipe when stowed. When the writing tip is extended, the pocket clip locks closed to prevent accidentally pocketing your pencil with the tip extended.
All Graph Gears have a rotating lead density selector. This helps you keep track of the lead density you've chosen to load in your pencil.
Each set includes 3 .5mm pencils: Graph Gear 1000, Graph Gear 1000 for Pro, and the Graph 500.
The 4mm long guide pipe and step head make it easy to see the paper and write efficiently.
